Debate Team

The Debate Team uses Canadian Parliamentary (CP) style to engage cadets in a contest of ideas, where a topic is discussed from two opposing sides. Cadets are encouraged to think critically as they master the art of structured argument while engaging with current events. During weekly sessions, cadets practice both impromptu and prepared debates, and learn about how to avoid logical fallacies while following cadet debating rules.

The Ontario Provincial Debating Competition, hosted by the Ontario Provincial Committee of the Air Cadet League of Canada, takes place annually on the last Sunday in April.
